Long-time fan of the band here, who did become like family. I was first introduced to this band from a dubbed tape of Death of Dictionary while in junior high. My best friend who was 4 years older than me shared the tape with me that he got from trading tapes of music through a magazine. The first song I heard was Good Pain and I was instantly hooked and was searching out all I could about this band. The music spoke to me lyrically and I just needed to know as much as I could.

Fast forward through my timeline, I became a "prominent" member of the scene, working in the music business throughout the mid to late 90s, and became friendly with the guys in the band, but not Ed so much. I helped run fan sites in the past, was backstage at many shows, and overall just became good friends with the guys and many people associated with the band. At one point I was offered a full-time job to work with them on some outside projects, but turned it down. That came right before and/or during the time everything blew up and the band went on "hiatus."

I've since distanced myself from it all. I am sad that everything played out the way it has, but I'll be forever grateful for the people I met and the memories I created. There may be some of you who I met in the past and perhaps new people who are here who aren't quite as old as I am. Nevertheless, it was a band from York, PA that forever sent me on a pretty amazing journey and I am glad to say hello to everyone.

Amazing story! Awesome that you worked with the band! Welcome to the site.

Their breakup truly made me sad. Maybe it can be salvaged and they can reunite after time passes. Who knows.

I am excited about the new stuff though. Review Lady Bhang when you can on page below. ;)
